Who We Are

Our History

Caring Matters Industries began in 2023 with a simple act of compassion on a cold Colorado Springs evening, when our founder realized that “someone should do something” was no longer enough. What started as a few homemade meals and donated jackets quickly became a weekly rhythm of showing up, rain, snow, or sun. Since those first Sundays, we’ve served thousands of people, learning names, hearing stories, and building trust one conversation at a time. Today, our volunteer-led team still gathers every week with the same belief that launched us: when people know they are seen, remembered, and cared for, hope has a chance to grow.

Ent Credit Union, Now Becoming Wings Credit Union

We are honored to be a 2026 grant recipient of Ent Credit Union, Now Becoming Wings Credit Union, in support of our work serving neighbors experiencing homelessness in Colorado Springs. This first grant marks a major milestone for Caring Matters Industries and is helping us expand from one outreach day to an additional day of service, increasing the number of people we can reach with fresh food. We are grateful to Ent, Becoming Wings Credit Union, for investing in community-rooted solutions and standing alongside us as a key partner in this next chapter of growth

Caring Matters Industries is guided by a high-impact Board of Directors that blends culinary excellence, nonprofit leadership, and business operations. Together, they provide the strategic vision, governance, and hands-on expertise needed to grow a community-focused organization while maintaining safety, stewardship, and care.

Chef Logan Sferrazza

Founder, Board President & Chief Executive Officer

Chef Logan Sferrazza is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Caring Matters and serves as Board President. A 2025 graduate and valedictorian of Paragon Culinary School, he pairs professional culinary training with a deep, lived commitment to service. Logan began feeding individuals experiencing homelessness in Colorado Springs at age 17, transforming a personal act of compassion into a structured, growing nonprofit. His expertise in meal planning, food safety, transportation logistics, and large‑scale food production sets a high operational standard for Caring Matters’ meal program.

Amanda Bonner

Board Member

With More than 20 years of restaurant experience, Amanda brings deep operational and training expertise to the board. She has served as a Certified Training Manager with Arby's Restaurant Group and as a ServSafe trainer and Proctor, overseeing food safety compliance, staff development, and budgeting in high-volume environments. Amanda's background ensures that Caring Matters maintains professional-grade food safety, consistency, and efficiency while scaling it's outreach. She serves in a volunteer capacity.

Janet Bullock

Board Member

Janet is a lifelong Colorado resident, educator, and entrepreneur who brings decades of organizational leadership to Caring Matters. A graduate of Colorado College, she worked as a teacher before founding TouchMath, an educational company she led as CEO until its sale in 2017. Her experience in building programs, leading teams, and guiding strategic growth helps position Caring Matters for long-term sustainability and impact. Janet serves in a volunteer capacity.

Sarah Love

Board Member

Sarah is a seasoned small-business owner with more than 15 years of experience managing independent organizations. Her background gives her a practical understanding of budgeting, operations, and long-term sustainability. Holding a degree in psychology, she brings a people-centered lens to board service, aligning strongly with Caring Matters' mission to serve the community with dignity, care, and compassion. Sarah serves in a volunteer capacity.
